Orthokeratology
Clear vision without surgery, glasses, or daytime contacts.
What if you could correct your eyesight and reduce your dependence on corrective lenses, all while you sleep?
It may sound impossible. But for many, it’s a reality with orthokeratology (ortho-k).

What is orthokeratology?
Ortho-k (also known as corneal refractive therapy or CRT ) uses specially designed, gas permeable contact lenses to temporarily reshape your cornea (front surface of the eye) while you sleep.
In the FDA trials for Paragon CRT® Contact Lenses, more than 90% of users were able to see 20/40 or better! With Paragon CRT®, your child can be free of the hassle of everyday vision correction and simultaneously lower the risk of future visual conditions!
How does ortho-k work?
Paragon CRT® is FDA approved to safely treat nearsightedness overnight1 by gently reshaping the cornea to focus light correctly into the retina, resulting in perfect or near perfect vision. These durable lenses are worn at night while asleep and then removed in the morning for clear vision that lasts all day.
How can ortho-k benefit your child?
Clinical studies have shown that overnight lenses like Paragon CRT® are proven to enhance the ability to learn, boost self-esteem, and improve sports performance in children. Imagine watching your child wake up with the self-confidence that comes without having to wear glasses or soft lenses to school, practice, and birthday parties.
Paragon CRT® lenses offer your child the freedom to play hard, learn with certainty, and live their lives to the fullest.
Ortho-k is for adults too!
Ortho-k isn’t exclusive to children; teens and adults can equally benefit from not having to deal with the hassle of daytime vision correction while doing the things they love. Enjoy the outdoors without worrying about breaking and scratching expensive glasses or scrambling for a new soft lens that fell out while away from home.
What visual problems can ortho-k correct?
Ortho-K is most commonly used to temporarily correct myopia (nearsightedness).
In some cases, it can be used to correct lesser degrees of astigmatism and farsightedness.
To find out if ortho-k is right for you, get in touch with your eye care provider.
Am I a good candidate for ortho-k?
Only your eye care provider can answer that question.
However, most people with mild to moderate myopia are good candidates.
The treatment is highly preferred for people who have issues wearing eyeglasses or contact lenses.
